Oh Amsterdam, how we miss you! Our week in Amsterdam started with a very warm welcome at the beautiful Hotel Esterea which is located along a canal in the heart of the city. The cobblestone streets and the old-world architecture transported us to a simpler time.

We (Vern and Penny Rekow) met in 2019 in the Central Valley of California and married a year later in 2020 right before the pandemic hit. So, our first couple of months as a married couple were spent in lock down which made us realize just how much we enjoyed spending time with each other. We both retired a year later in 2021 and moved to the coastal area of North Carolina where we currently reside.
